SAFE STREETS FOR ALL (SS4A) SAFETY ACTION PLAN
The City of Forrest City, AR is seeking statements of qualifications from prospective consulting firms to provide engineering, planning, and related services to be used in development of a Safety Action Plan funded by a U.S. Department of Transportation Safe Streets for All grant.
To support US DOT’s goal of zero deaths and serious injuries on our nation’s roadways, the SS4A grant has been awarded to support planning, infrastructure, behavioral, and operational initiatives to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets involving all roadway users, including pedestrians; bicyclists; public transportation, personal conveyance, and micromobility users; motorists; and commercial vehicle operators.
The goal of the Action Plan is to develop a holistic, well-defined strategy to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries in Forrest City. Key elements of the plan will include 1) goal setting; 2) safety analysis; 3) engagement and collaboration; 4) transportation equity plan; 5) policy and process change recommendations; 6) strategy and project selections; 7) progress and transparency. The project selection section will use data to identify potential high-impact infrastructure projects to demonstrate the effectiveness of proven safety solutions.
The City of Forrest City, Arkansas, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations,
hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
