Request for Contractor Bids
The Muskogee City-County Port Authority (MCCPA) requests bids from general contractors for the Port of Muskogee Rail Access and Safety Initiative project. Bids will be received by MCCPA in Muskogee, OK until 2:00 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. The bidding documents may be obtained from the issuing office in electronic format (.pdf) by contacting Katie Jones, PE at katie.jones@crsengineers.com . Neither owner nor engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of the prequalification documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office.
The project generally consists of track upgrades, expansion, and realignment to meet current Class I railroad safety standards; highway-rail grade crossing modernization; and new track to expand the capacity of the existing marshalling yard. This work includes approximately 2,600 linear feet of roadway construction, 1,300 linear feet of mainline rail, 4,500 linear feet of additional track, utility protection and storm drain improvements. A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the MCCPA Three Forks Harbor office at 5201 Three Forks Road, Fort Gibson, OK, 74434. A project site walk-through will follow the pre-bid conference.
Bidders are required to demonstrate experience in rail and highway construction; a working knowledge and compliance with the Federal Davis-Bacon and Buy America Acts; evidence of a comprehensive safety program; and must have a current Oklahoma DOT Contractor Certification of Qualification. MCCPA complies with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations.
