Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Arkansas Tech Procurement Services, 105 West "O" Street, (R.C. Brown Building) Ste 406 Russellville, AR 72801-2222 for the following:
Demolition & Asbestos Abatement - EEG Project Number 22-0111-136
Arkansas Tech University - Young Building - Russellville, Arkansas
Arkansas Tech University Bid #B0-22-049
Contract includes removal and proper disposal of all asbestos-containing materials known to exist at Young Hall on the ATU campus in Russellville, Arkansas. Demolition of the building will occur immediately after abatement. This project will be awarded to one general contractor. Bids from Arkansas General Contractors and ADEQ-certified Asbestos Contractors will be the only respondents considered. Bid specifications may be obtained at the mandatory pre-bid meeting at no cost to the attending contractors. The project is scheduled to start as soon as contracts are signed and Bonds have been provided. This project does require the mandatory Notice of Intent to ADEQ and its associated waiting period.
A mandatory pre-bid will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Young Building Ballroom on the ATU campus in Russellville, Arkansas. When available bid specs may be viewed at www.atu.edu/purchasing
A bid bond in the amount of 5% shall accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to obtain Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the value of the contract if the bid amount is in excess of $20,000.00. All bidders shall conform to the requirements of Arkansas Code Annotated 17-25-101, Arkansas Contractors licensing law. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All contractors must be licensed on the day the project bids.
