PROJECT: Hempstead Hall Canopy Extension

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) will receive sealed bids for the Hempstead Hall Canopy Extension on the Hope campus located at 2500 S. Main, Hope, AR 71802. The project will require services of a licensed Contractor to complete the Canopy Extension to include the following: Installation of new standing seam roof panels, structural roof support & components, installation of new gutter & downspouts, and furnish Payment and Performance Bond for full amount of contract; Prime Bidder shall be required to furnish and/or supply all materials, parts, equipment, or codes necessary for accomplish any and all tasks required to service the units or systems by this contract.
UAHT will receive sealed bids until 2:00 PM local time on 11/16/23 at the Administration Building Board Room AC126, 2500 S. Main St., Hope, AR 71802-0140. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend.
A non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on 11/07/2023 in the Main Lobby of Hempstead Hall on the UAHT Hope Campus. All Bidders are highly encouraged to attend.
The attention of all bidders is called to the fact that they must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, subject to any subsequent amendments. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. ยง 22-9-203, UAHT encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. UAHT reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities in the proposal deemed to be in the best interests of UAHT.
Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid. Forfeiture of the bond will result if the successful bidder does not provide services, documentation, and assurances called for in this IFB and the resulting contract at the time of the effective date of the contract. The bond shall be made payable to the University of Arkansas Community College Hope-Texarkana.
Obtaining contact documents through any source other than the Design Professional or their representative(s) is not advisable due to the risk of receiving incomplete or inaccurate information. Contract documents obtained through the Design Professional or their representative(s) are considered the official version and take precedence should any discrepancies occur.
