City of Fort Smith, Arkansas
Separate sealed bids for Lee Creek Transmission Line and 1-40 Utility Relocation, Project No. 21-10-C1, will be received by the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas, at the Office of the Director of Utilities until 10:00 a.m. (Local Time), Tuesday, November 8,2022, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be addressed "City of Fort Smith, Utility Department, 801 Carnall Avenue, Suite 500, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901" and shall be labeled bid for Lee Creek Transmission Line and 1-40 Utility Relocation, Project No. 21-10-C1. Bidders are to include their Arkansas License number on the outside of their sealed bid. Bids shall only be received from registered Bidders.
The project includes extension of the City of Fort Smith Lee Creek Transmission Line's 68-inch diameter steel encasement pipe to facilitate the construction of I-40/Hwy 59 Interchange Improvements by the Arkansas Department of Transportation, Job No. 040714.

Copies may be obtained from Hawkins-Weir Engineers, Ins., located at 110 South 7th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas, 479-474-1227, with a check or money order upon payment of $100.00 for each set, nonrefundable.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
The contract is subject to Buy America requirements (as specified in 23 U.S.C. 313 and 23 CFR 635.410).
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments, and considered by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board to be classified as a General Contractor for the classification required to perform the work identified as part of the project.
This publication was paid for by the City of Fort Smith Utility Department, and the cost of the
publication is $ 386.22
per Arkansas Act 954 of 2021.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
