Sealed bids from licensed contractors for construction of the replacement of existing air handling units and return fans serving the west exhibit hall of Mid America Science Museum in Hot Springs, Arkansas, will be received by: Judge Darryl Mahoney, Garland County Judge, Garland County Courthouse, 501 Ouachita Avenue, Room 210, Hot Springs, AR, 71901 until 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 and then will be publicly opened and read aloud.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for general contractors to be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mid America Science Museum Conference Room, 500 Mid America Blvd, Hot Springs National Park, AR 71913. Prospective bidders must attend the pre-bid conference to be eligible to bid the project.
Each contractor’s bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Arkansas in the sum of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Said certified check or bid bond will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder upon request when the award is made to the successful bidder and the contract has been signed and the performance and labor and material payment bonds have been executed.
Separate payment and performance bonds each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder.
Pursuant to ARK. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the state encourages all small, minority and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements.
All Responses not submitting Sam.Gov registration will be considered non-responsive and will be eliminated from consideration and bid will be rejected.
The scope of work consists of the installation of air handling units, return fans, and controls. Construction documents to Bidders, ACEDP grant requirements, Bid and Contract Forms, Plans, Specifications, and other contract documents may be examined and obtained at:
