REQUEST FOR QUALIFCATIONS (RFQ): ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR COMMUNITY AND RECREATION FACILITIES – CITY OF SEARCY, ARKANSAS
The City of Searcy seeks the services of a qualified architectural/engineering firm to manage a public involvement process that will plan and design new Community and Recreation Facilities located on over 100 acres of City property. This RFQ is for Architectural and Engineering Services only. The final product will be a selection of a preferred design option, a financial breakdown of estimated cost, recommendations for funding, and any other graphics, rendering, or other information required to fully inform the public and City Council.
Once the process is complete and the design has been reviewed and accepted by the public and approved by City Council, the Council will make a determination on what the next steps will be in order to move forward with the next phase of development which may include the preparation of construction drawings and bid documents of one or more of the elements identified in the approved design. An additional RFQ for the preparation of construction drawings and bid documents will be advertised at that time.
The property identified will include multiple elements, but shall be designed and branded in a way to be one cohesive Community and Recreational development. Potential elements in the scope of this development may include, but are not limited to:
• COMMUNITY CENTER
• OUTDOOR AQUATICS FACILITY
• EXPANSION OF BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN TRAIL
• BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND SOCCER FACILITIES
• OUTDOOR EVENT CENTER
• VETERANS MEMORIAL
• SKATE PARK/BIKE PUMP TRACK
• DISC GOLF COURSE
• INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES TO SERVICE THE PROJECT
It is expected that a team from several consulting specialties may collaborate on this proposal.
Sealed qualification packages, plainly marked “Request for Qualifications, Searcy Community and Recreation Facilities” on the outside envelope containing ten (10) original copies plus one electronic copy should be delivered to the Planning and Development Office, 300 West Arch Avenue, Searcy, AR 72143 before the deadline of: August 23, 2023 @ 4:00 pm
