Request for Qualifications 24-01 – Notice to Architect
Arkansas State University-Newport is soliciting responses from interested firms to provide professional services for the following project(s):
Architectural design/specification services and construction administration services to construct a new Health Sciences Building on the college campus in Newport, AR. This project is funded by federal grants from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), the Delta Regional Authority (DRA), and private/foundation gits and grants.
All firms will be graded on the following scale:
_/25 points Previous experience in design/specification services and construction administration services for Nursing and Health Profession buildings
_/25 points Previous experience with alternative delivery method/design-build construction standards/practices
_/15 points Previous experience with construction of projects using federal funding, with the highest preference to EDA funded projects
_/10 points Previous experience with higher education clients
_/25 points Experience with successful completion of alternative delivery method projects within the desired timelines
Written responses will be considered if received by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
Please include five (5) copies of responses. All respondents will be notified of the results by e-mail. ASU-Newport reserves the right to interview or not interview at university’s discretion.
Written responses shall include:
1) Current office size, personnel description, work load and all outside consultants to be used.
2) Projects currently under contract with state agencies and ability to respond to problems on a timely basis. (within 24 hours)
3) Similar project experience with providing design/specification services and construction administration services to state agencies and university or college level facilities.
4) Submit proof of current professional liability insurance coverage.
5) Firm must be licensed in the State of Arkansas.
Professional Services Required: Preliminary design studies, programming and cost estimates, consultation, design, and construction bidding and administration observation of miscellaneous projects as directed by the ASUN administration.
