NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR CONVERSION AND
CONSTRUCTION OF RF TOWERS TO SUPPORT THE ARKANSAS WIRELESS INFORMATION NETWORK (AWIN) 995-RFQ-2302
ADEM is soliciting responses from qualified consultants to provide basic professional Engineering design services as defined by the TSS Division of Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria (MSC) for RF Tower installation services located at four locations in four different Arkansas Counties.
•Calhoun County – Conversion of an existing AWIN microwave network tower site to an Astro Standalone 25 Repeater site for the AWIN system.
•Chicot County – Conversion of an existing non-AWIN tower to an Astro Standalone 25 Repeater site for the AWIN system.
•Clark County – Construct a new 190’ self-support tower and equip the tower as an Astro Standalone 25 Repeater site for the AWIN system.
•Jefferson County – Construct a new self-support tower and equip the tower as an Astro Standalone 25 Repeater site for the AWIN system. This site would be located at the Arkansas DOC Tucker Unit.
A detailed request for qualifications (RFQ) package will be provided to interested parties outlining the submittal requirements and selection methodology. Responses received for this RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalist for interview in accordance with the MSC. The Agency reserves the right to award one or more contracts under this solicitation and to negotiate fees on a percentage basis, lump sum basis or an hourly not-to-exceed basis on individual project assignments as appropriate for the contemplated work.
The deadline for submitting detailed responses to this RFQ will be 4:00pm 03/15/2023.
