Request for Qualifications 23-46 – Notice to Architect
Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, is soliciting responses from interested firms to provide professional services for the following project(s):
Architectural design/specification services and construction administration services to convert an existing grain bin facility in Tyronza, Arkansas into an interpretive and other spaces for the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum; as indicated in the attached preliminary concept drawing. This project is funded by a grant from the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council and subject to their design and project requirements. The anticipated grant/project start date is July 1, 2023 with project completion expected by June 30, 2024 as outlined in the grant award. ANCRC does accept applications for grant extensions, but an application has not been made at this point.
All firms will be graded on the following scale:
__/25 points Previous experience designing ANCRC funded projects
__/25 points Familiarity with Arkansas State University construction standards/practices
__/25 points Previous experience with ANCRC project reporting requirements
__/25 points Experience with successful completion of ANCRC projects within the desired timelines
Written responses will be considered if received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Please include five (5) copies of responses. All respondents will be notified of the results by e-mail. ASU-Jonesboro reserves the right to interview or not interview at university’s discretion.
Written responses shall include:
1) Current office size, personnel description, work load and all outside consultants to be used.
2) Projects currently under contract with state agencies and ability to respond to problems on a timely basis. (within 24 hours)
3) Similar project experience with providing on call services to state agencies and university or college level facilities.
4) Submit proof of current professional liability insurance coverage.
5) Firm must be licensed in the State of Arkansas.
Professional Services Required: Preliminary design studies, programming and cost estimates, consultation, design, and construction bidding and administration observation of miscellaneous projects as directed by the ASU administration.
