ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The City of Sherwood is accepting sealed bids for construction of the CITY OF SHERWOOD INDIANHEAD WALKING TRAIL project until 2:00 p.m. on February 29, 2024 at the City of Sherwood’s City Clerk Office, 2199 E. Kiehl Avenue, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project consists of construction of approximately 1100 linear feet of walking trail and associated ADA ramps, minor earthwork, and minor drainage construction.
All proposals shall be on the forms within the specifications and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the “City of Sherwood, City Clerk’s Office, 2199 E. Kiehl Avenue, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120,” and marked “Proposal for City of Sherwood Indianhead Walking Trail.”
The City reserves the right to reduce the total amount of work to be done as required by budget restraints. Also, work added or remaining shall be at the same unit price as submitted in the proposal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to accept the proposal deemed to be for the best interest of the City.

Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than those listed above.
Proposals will be considered on the basis of cost, the bidder’s financial responsibility, his equipment, and his past performance on similar projects. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The City of Sherwood hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
Build America, Buy America provisions apply to this project.
