The Arkansas Department of the Military is soliciting responses from qualified consultants to provide professional architectural and engineering design services as defined by the DFA/Division of Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria (MSC) for the construction of a new multipurpose machinegun range on Camp Robinson
The project is new construction of a Multipurpose Machinegun (MPMG) Range to include a range tower, operations/storage building, latrines, bleacher enclosure, classroom building, mess shelter, ammunition breakdown building, and target emplacements. This facility will be designed to meet Industry Standards as well as all local, state, and federal building codes and as per 42 U.S. Code 4154, United States Army Corps of Engineers design guidelines, and Army Training Circular 25-8. Construction will include all utility services, information systems, roads, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, parking areas and site improvements. Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 50 years in accordance with DoD’s Unified Facilities Code (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance as per ASA(IE&E) Sustainable Design and Development Policy updated 2017. DoD Minimum Antiterrorism for building standards will be included. Agency intends to award this contract to one consultant having the capability to provide the required services in-house but shall consider awarding the contract to a consulting firm with outside sub-consultants.
A detailed request for qualifications (RFQ) package will be provided to interested parties outlining the submittal requirements and selection methodology. Responses received for this RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalists for interview in accordance with the MSC. The agency intends to award one contract under this solicitation.
The deadline for submitting detailed responses to this RFQ is 12:00 p.m. August 8th, 2023.
