NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TASK ORDERS ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS





PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED





The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to award sole source task orders to GE Healthcare for preventive maintenance, repair, and software maintenance/upgrade services on a GE medical imaging systems located at both the Veterans Healthcare System of The Ozarks (VHSO) in Fayetteville, Arkansas and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center located in Houston, Texas. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16.505.





These VA facilities have a requirement for a contractor to provide all parts, labor, tools, materials, equipment, software, transportation, and supervision necessary to maintain GE medical imaging systems. Based on market research it has been determined that GE Healthcare is the only vendor capable of providing all the required preventive maintenance, repair, and software maintenance/upgrade services.





This notice will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance.





The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement, to include the documentation required by VA Acquisition Regulation part 852.212-72(c) to the attention of: James Hunt, email address: james.hunt2@va.gov, no later than Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2:00pm (Central Time). Only emailed responses will be considered. Information received will be utilized solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is at the sole discretion of the Government.
